Add to this the cost of leaving the Christmas lights on (£3.75m a day), and the impact is huge. So why should we care about the amount of energy we use? Here’s another mind-bending statistic for you. 72% of the world’s carbon emissions come from energy production.
Carbon emissions cause heat to be trapped in the atmosphere, warming up the Earth much faster than would happen naturally. This is what we call Climate Change, and it’s hurtling towards us at an alarming pace. The good thing is that no action is too small, so reducing your energy use, and by extension your impact on the planet, is easy with Tala.
