During a recent safety review, we have identified an issue with the bulb in batches of the Muse Portable Lamp produced between 01/21 and 01/24. While this issue is low risk (0.011% incidence rate) it involves the potential of overheating the battery which could pose a fire hazard. The issue is limited to the light bulb within the lamp, The Muse devices themselves are safe to use.
On the base of the lamp there is a batch number. The batch number contains the date of manufacture, MM/YY. If the date in your batch number is earlier than 03/24 then you may have a defective bulb and you are eligible for a replacement. This issue does not affect any batches with the date 03/24 or beyond or the Muse Portable Lamps currently being sold on the Tala website.
Actions Required:
1. Stop using the Muse Lamp
2. Check the batch number on the base of your lamp to see whether your bulb may be affected.
3. If applicable, register for a bulb replacement link
Your safety is our top concern, and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please contact our customer support team at productquality@tala.co.uk or +1 929 498 5074.
